Unily and Microsoft Unveil Co-Developed Microsoft 365 Graph Connector and Copilot

Unily, a leading Employee Experience Platform (EXP) provider, and Microsoft announced a co-developed Microsoft 365 Graph Connector and Copilot integration at Microsoft Build 2025.

This partnership introduces one of the first native Microsoft 365 connectors, enabling seamless integration of Unily’s intranet content into the Microsoft 365 ecosystem.

The connector leverages the Microsoft Graph API to make Unily content searchable and actionable through Microsoft Copilot, allowing employees to access intranet data like documents, FAQs, forms, and knowledge articles using natural language queries.

This enhances productivity by transforming siloed information into intelligent, contextually relevant insights while maintaining end-to-end security and respecting existing user permissions.

Key features include:

  • Comprehensive Content Indexing: Supports various Unily content types, such as apps, brand assets, quizzes, and stories, accessible via Microsoft Search and Copilot.
  • Semantic Search: Enhances search relevance using keywords, user preferences, and social connections.
  • Native Integration: Unlike third-party plugins, the connector is built into Microsoft 365, ensuring secure and seamless data discoverability.

Demonstrated during a session titled “Extend Copilot with Connectors and Actions,” the solution empowers organizations to streamline workflows and drive smarter decision-making.

However, it currently lacks support for access control lists (ACLs), meaning all indexed data is visible to Microsoft 365 users in the tenant, though Microsoft plans to address this in future updates. This collaboration underscores Unily and Microsoft’s commitment to advancing enterprise productivity and innovation.
